The WHS Dance Team season runs from July to February. We perform during halftime of football and basketball games. Our competition season begins in November when we attend five competitions including our regional, which determines if we qualify for the state competition. We qualified in 2003- 2024 and placed at the state level in 2008 and 2009.  In 2010, the team won first place at state in pom and jazz. In 2012, the team placed second at state in pom and jazz, and in 2013. 2014 and 2015, the team again placed first at state in pom and jazz followed by a first place in pom in 2016. In 2018 the team got first in jazz and in 2019 the team placed first in pom. From 2020-2023 the team was state runner-ups until 2024. In 2024 the team took home the state title in both D4 pom and D2 jazz. 

   Tryouts are held in the spring and are open to grades 9 – 12. No experience is necessary.
